About Us

".Inc – Idea to incorporation" is unique Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative funded by Brihati Foundation & Claris Capital. The program has been seeded by Mrs. Krishna Handa, who is heading CSR of Claris group. The goal is to support/ encourage/ foster our young generation, who has a power and willingness to bring the change in a society. We endeavour Innovations, which address United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) .

".Inc" is emerging as national & international platform catering to diverse young talents working on Innovation, new design thinking, technology integration. We wish to build the community working for progressive future.

Each year .Inc touches upon different sectors and subjects. This year under the big umbrella of Idea to Incorporation (.Inc) 2018-19 mainly focuses on the following core areas,

  • Emerging solutions within technology institutes and academic forums,
  • Promote alternative solutions intent to solve existing local and global development issues,
  • Bridge the gap between industry and academics stakeholders.

Idea competition

Hold No Bar for Ideas

The entire INC initiative is supported by Claris Capital and Brihati Foundation to encourage young generation across India to come up with their innovative ideasand projects. Core sectors focuses on engineering & design solutions which has potential to solve key issues of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The competition has two main components: First, Participants have to select one of the innovation areas under which their projects fall and second, participants have to select one or more Impact areas, of which their project have most impacts upon from 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Through this competition we are encouragingYoung generation working towards solving the societal issues of development to apply. This competition will allow path-breaking individuals to bring their innovative ideas off the ground.

Winning Awards

Awards will be given to the following categories: each winner team will receive winner award grant 20,000 INR cash and winning certificate & trophy. All the award-winning team will get chance to work on Urban Innovation hands-on projects.

Brihati foundation believes that Innovation is a new form of social practice and organization, thus we are encouraging young generation to come up with their innovative projects/ideas and align them with the sustainable development goals to contribute towards smarter/sustainable India. We believe each innovation can make multiple impacts on variety of sectors.

Participants have to select most relevant sector (s) which will receive positive impact through their innovation.

    Applicants must register from our official website: www.inc2018.com

    To apply for the competition, follow the below steps:

    Step 1: Go to the Home page of our website and click on Register now.

    Step 2: You will redirect to the sign-up page for the competition.

    Step 3: Fill out the details required in the form and click on submit (One individual can submit maximum 3 project proposal)

    Step 4: You can update your application later on after submitting the application using your sign-up details.

    HOW TO PREPARE A PROJECT PROPOSAL FILE:

    • Project/Idea proposal file should be in the Power Point Presentation (PPT).
    • Power Point Presentation (PPT) files should be MAXIMUN 50 MB.
    • Recommended filename format: User ID + first name.
    • Your project proposal must contain following information:
      • An introduction that summarizes the proposal
      • The problem you’re tackling
      • The solution you’re proposing
      • Details about project prototype/design
      • Other relevant information which may include project achievements, website link, etc.….

    The competition is open to all students, academic scholars, faculties and recent passed out (0-3 years), who have innovative sustainable ideas that they believe that will contribute towards 'Sustainable Development Goals'

  • Selection Process

    Selection Process

    Stage 1 – Application Submission

    Projects/Ideas will be received through online application.

    Stage 2 – Semi Final Round

    From application pool, 10 applications will be shortlisted for semi-final round and will be informed via telephone/email.

    Selected applicants will be called at Ahmedabad for final round of presentation.

    Stage 3 Jury

    10 minutes to present against the expert jury during the event on ___________, 2019.

    Stage 4 – Winner Announcement

    3 best projects will be selected for the Grand prize, Second prize and Third prize winner.

  • Guidelines

    COMPETITION Guidelines

    • A Participant needs to fill out a form that will be available on the website ( www.inc2018.com ).
    • Refer the competition application form in advance and have necessary details ready while applying.
    • Type the answers of all question in the space provided in typed format. Do not overlap with other questions. Follow the word limit given for each question. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
    • The project team can have maximum 3 team members.
    • Participants allowed to submit more than one submission per team. One or more submissions may be submitted individually (Maximum 3 project can be submitted per team).
    • Failure to disclose vital information or misrepresentation by participant/s can lead to disqualification and could also affect participation in future editions of .Inc – Idea Competition.
    • The participant/s retain all the rights of their proposal, however, the information shared will be used for the purpose of this competition.
    • The project proposed recommended filename format: booking ID + first name.

    • The SDGs are a universal set of goals, targets, and indicators that focus on sustainable development. Panacea - Idea Stimulation Workshop

Three Days-long solution-oriented venture development exercise will be carried out at our partner institutions. The activity will be based on specific theme or sector where students will develop innovation or business model to address the pain point of industry/community. Idea stimulation will focus on sector specific innovation debates, proposal drafting, innovative idea mapping. These ideas will in-turn apply at coming phase of .Inc idea competition thus the activities of this workshop will brief studentapplicants about the general application process and proposal development. It synthesises and systematises the lessons learned and disseminates these among the masses.

Look back at Idea to Incorporation 2017-18

The first .Inc – Idea Competition for Entrepreneurs-2017-18, received many interesting ideas, products and technologies which not only had strong business potential but also created social & environmental co-benefits. .Inc – Idea Competition for Entrepreneurs 2017-18 partnered with 6 academic and institutional partners in Gujarat. The underlined objective of this idea competition was to bring innovations & start-ups from all sectors and scales on single platform. The competition got promising business ideas/ventures from small town along with major urban areas registered so that the real potential of entrepreneurial ecosystem in Gujarat is discovered.

More than 20 Gujarati Entrepreneurs who are creating ideas of future with most innovative, creative and impactful business as well as social solutions got selected. From 12 sectors participants such as tech - automation, environmental technology and sustainability, social development, Law and legal services, agriculture and allied activities, healthcare, education, etc., were selected in final round of the competition. The outreach of the competition brought ideas from Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Surat and South Gujarat as well as Saurashtra and North Gujarat.

This Competition covered all aspects of entrepreneurship, ranging from commercial start-up, social entrepreneurship to climate & sustainability initiatives addressing the global & regional challenges. In its true nature, this initiative promoted the range of ideas from successful commercial products to solutions of the complex environment & social challenges.
